A snowy bar district

 This is a bar town in Mombetsu. It is called Hamanasu Street. Hamanasu is a flower that blooms on the coast. Snow and neon signs much.

Seal Love

 The highest temperature today was 7 degrees Celsius below zero. There were foreign visitors at the seal center. I heard Chinese. The photo shows a love-scene between a zookeeper and a seal.

Snowshoeing

 I guided snowshoeing yesterday. We walked in the forest park. We had coffee on the way. There were some Indonesians among the customers. Everyone was happy.

Happy New Year in JAPAN

 Happy New Year. I look forward to working with you again this year. I went to Hatsumode in the early morning snow. Hatsumode means visiting a shrine. I was able to see the first sunrise on my way home. Good luck to you all this year.

A new day has begun

 Today's sunrise time was 6:59 am. The temperature was 4.5 degrees below zero. It was little warmer than yesterday. A new day has begun.

 Mombetsu-City made a short movie. It is to increase the population. It is a drama with 8 episodes in total. You can see the city with this.

Crab claws and sunrise

 Mombetsu has a big crab claw. The height is 12 meters. The sun rose behind it yesterday. The temperature was 10 degrees below zero.
